Job Roles & Responsibilities of a Security Guard

1. Access Control

   • Control entry and exit of employees, visitors, vendors, and vehicles.

   • Verify identity cards, visitor passes, and maintain entry/exit registers.

2. Surveillance & Monitoring

   • Issue visitor passes and guide visitors courteously.

   • Check inward and outward movement of materials as per authorization.

8. Reporting & Documentation

   • Maintain daily occurrence register (DOR), log books, and incident reports.

   • Report shift handover details accurately.

9. Coordination & Communication

   • Coordinate with supervisors, site in-charge, and management.

   • Communicate politely with residents, staff, and visitors.

10. Discipline & Conduct

    • Maintain proper uniform, grooming, and punctuality.

    • Follow duty hours, rotation schedules, and instructions from superiors.

11. Asset Protection

    • Safeguard company/society property, equipment, and assets.

    • Prevent misuse or damage to facilities.

12. Compliance

    • Follow statutory requirements, company SOPs, and client-specific instructions.

    • Ensure compliance with safety, labor, and security guidelines.
