Team Lead - Insurance sales

About the Role

We are looking for a high-performing Team Leader – Term Insurance to lead a team of sales advisors responsible for selling Term Life Insurance products through telesales. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in insurance sales, team management, lead conversion, and revenue generation. Candidates with a strong background in Term Insurance will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Insurance Sales Advisors/Telesales Executives.

• Drive daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets through effective team management.

• Coach, mentor, and motivate team members to maximize productivity and conversions.

• Monitor sales calls, provide feedback, and improve sales quality.

• Track KPIs including conversion rate, productivity, talk time, premium achievement, and policy issuance.

• Conduct daily team huddles, performance reviews, and one-on-one coaching sessions.

• Ensure compliance with IRDAI guidelines and internal quality standards.

• Coordinate with Operations, Quality, Underwriting, and Customer Support teams for seamless policy issuance.

• Analyze sales reports and implement action plans to improve team performance.

• Drive customer satisfaction while maintaining high sales quality.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in Life Insurance / Term Insurance / Health Insurance or BFSI sales.

• Mandatory experience in Team Handling.

• Term Insurance sales experience will be highly preferred.

• Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills.

• Experience managing an Outbound or Inbound Telesales team.
