Primary Role
The Zonal Sales Head will be responsible for managing and guiding a team of Area Sales Managers (ASMs) to achieve the company’s sales targets within the assigned zone. The role involves developing sales strategies, expanding market presence, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring consistent team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Management
- Lead and manage a team of Area Sales Managers (ASMs) to achieve zonal sales targets.
- Drive key sales initiatives in the zone to meet overall business objectives.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase market penetration and revenue.
- Monitor and track sales performance against targets and take corrective actions when required.
Business Development
- Identify new market opportunities and expand the customer base.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify potential growth opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, institutions, and partners.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and present periodic sales reports to senior management.
- Analyze sales data and forecast future sales trends.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting from all ASMs.
Team Leadership & Development
- Conduct regular performance reviews for team members.
- Train, mentor, and motivate ASMs and sales representatives.
- Ensure the team follows company policies, processes, and reporting standards.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in sales management.
- Proven experience in managing and leading sales teams.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in sales forecasting and data analysis.
- Ability to travel frequently within the assigned zone.
