Role Overview
​As a sales professional in the Bancassurance vertical, you will be stationed within a bank branch (or a cluster of branches). Your primary goal is to act as a bridge between the bank’s customers and the insurance provider, ensuring customers find the right protection and investment products.
​Key Responsibilities
​Sales & Business Development: Promote and sell life, health, and general insurance products to walk-in customers and existing bank account holders.
​Lead Generation: Utilize the bank’s database to identify potential clients and set up meetings.
​Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong rapport with the Bank Branch Manager and other staff to ensure a steady flow of referrals.
​Need Analysis: Conduct financial needs analysis for customers to recommend suitable insurance plans (e.g., term plans, ULIPs, or endowment schemes).
​End-to-End Processing: Handle the documentation process, from filling out application forms to ensuring the policy is issued and delivered.
​Target Achievement: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets set by the bank and the insurance partner.
​Customer Support: Provide post-sales service, including policy renewals and assisting with the claims process to build long-term trust.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
​Education: A Bachelor's degree in any field is mandatory. An MBA in Marketing or Finance is often preferred for senior relationship roles.
​Experience:
​Freshers: Many entry-level roles are open to graduates with high energy and a flair for sales.
​Experienced: 1–3 years in banking, insurance, or direct sales is highly valued.
​Skills:
​Communication: Fluent in English and the local language (Hindi/Regional) to explain complex financial products clearly.
​Negotiation: Ability to handle objections and persuade customers effectively.
​Resilience: Sales is a target-driven field that requires a persistent and positive attitude.
​Certifications: IRDAI certification is often required (the bank usually facilitates this training if you don't already have it).
