Key responsibilities
Business strategy and development:
Develop and implement strategies to achieve company growth targets and expand market presence. Identify and secure new turnkey civil project opportunities across various sectors.
Client relationship management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
Market research:
Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive insights. Analyze market conditions to develop effective business strategies.
Proposal and contract management:
Prepare and present compelling business proposals and presentations. Collaborate with technical teams to develop project proposals. Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to ensure mutually beneficial partnerships.
Project lifecycle oversight:
Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle from identification and development to negotiation and handover. Ensure project proposals align with client requirements and company goals.
Networking and representation:
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to build its professional image.
Qualifications
Education:
A diploma, graduate, or postgraduate degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is often required.
Experience:
Proven experience in business development, project acquisition, and client handling, often with 15-20 years for senior roles. Experience in identifying, developing, and handing over turnkey civil projects is essential.
Skills:
Strong business development and sales skills, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities are critical. Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills are also necessary.
Preferred qualifications
Prior exposure to sectors like retail, e-commerce, logistics, or warehousing is often preferred, especially for roles focused on specific project types like turnkey civil projects.
