We are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer with experience in the technical sales of capital equipment and packaging machinery across various industry verticals in India. The incumbent will be responsible for promoting and selling company products by demonstrating their advanced technical functionalities, applications, and benefits to customers, while developing long-term client relationships and achieving assigned sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
• Generate leads, conduct client meetings, understand requirements, and propose tailored solutions
• Prepare project proposals, cost breakups, and quotations in coordination with design and sales leadership
• Manage negotiations, order closures, and payment follow-ups while maintaining a healthy sales pipeline
• Identify new market opportunities and perform competitor analysis to support strategic expansion
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, CXOs, and procurement heads for long-term partnerships
• Handle key accounts, customer retention, and upsell/cross-sell initiatives
• Coordinate with service teams to ensure effective after-sales support and customer satisfaction
• Maintain sales reports, forecasts, visit summaries, and pipeline insights for management reviews
• Participate in exhibitions, trade shows, and marketing initiatives, ensuring timely lead follow-ups
• Collaborate closely with design, production, and service teams for seamless project execution.
Job Requirements:
•Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial).
• Relevant experience in Packaging Machinery, Pharma Machinery, Industrial Product Sales, Application-based Product Sales, Project Sales, or Machinery Sales.
• Confident, positive, and self-driven personality with a result-oriented approach.
• Excellent client interfacing, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong listening ability and professional self-grooming.
• Good understanding of industrial business operations and project sales processes.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). • Willingness to travel extensively as per business requirements.
