We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Purchase Manager to oversee and manage the procurement activities of our pharmaceutical distribution company. The role involves ensuring the timely and cost-effective purchase of medicines and related materials while maintaining quality and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vendor Management:

  • Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with pharmaceutical suppliers and manufacturers.

  • Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and contracts to ensure cost-effective procurement.

• Procurement Planning:

  • Forecast purchase requirements based on stock movement, sales trends, and seasonality.

  • Coordinate with sales and inventory teams to plan and maintain optimal stock levels.

• Order Management:

  • Place purchase orders and follow up to ensure timely delivery.

  • Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of purchase records.

• Inventory Control:

  • Monitor stock levels and reduce excess or slow-moving inventory.

  • Ensure batch-wise and expiry-wise tracking of pharmaceutical items.

• Quality & Compliance:

  • Ensure all purchased items comply with regulatory and company standards.

  • Handle issues related to damaged, expired, or non-compliant products.

• Cost Control:

  • Analyze purchase data to control procurement costs and reduce wastage.

  • Implement strategies to maximize profitability through efficient buying.

• Coordination & Reporting:

  • Liaise with accounts for invoice and payment reconciliation.

  • Prepare regular purchase reports and MIS for management review.
