Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager – Electrical to manage the procurement of electrical components and equipment for Solar EPC projects and EV Charging Infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate should possess strong vendor management skills, sound technical knowledge of electrical components, and the ability to procure quality materials at competitive prices while ensuring timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Procure electrical materials required for Solar EPC and EV Charging projects.

- Source and purchase transformers, switchgear, LT panels, cables, hardware, electrical accessories, and other project materials.

- Handle procurement of EV charging station equipment and associated electrical infrastructure.

- Procure solar project materials such as AC/DC cables, cable trays, earthing materials, mounting hardware, connectors, junction boxes, protection devices, and balance-of-system (BOS) components.

- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.

- Obtain quotations, negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.

- Prepare comparative statements and recommend cost-effective procurement decisions.

- Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, Stores, and Finance teams for material planning and timely procurement.

- Monitor inventory levels and ensure uninterrupted material availability.

- Track purchase orders until delivery and resolve supply-related issues.

- Ensure procurement complies with company quality standards and project specifications.

- Maintain procurement records, vendor databases, and purchase documentation.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

· Minimum 5+ years of experience in procurement of electrical materials for Solar EPC, Electrical Projects, or EV Charging Infrastructure.

· Strong knowledge of electrical equipment, transformers, cables, hardware, switchgear, and related components.

· Experience in vendor development, commercial negotiations, and supply chain management.

· Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/procurement software is preferred.

· Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.

Preferred Experience

ü Procurement experience in Solar Power Projects.

ü Experience in procuring transformers and electrical infrastructure for EV Charging Stations.

ü Familiarity with major electrical equipment manufacturers and suppliers.

ü Understanding of technical specifications, BOMs, and project procurement processes.
