Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and customer-oriented Presales Executive to join our team in Chennai. The candidate will be responsible for handling customer enquiries, understanding customer requirements, explaining products, preparing quotations and following up with prospective customers to convert enquiries into confirmed orders.

The role involves coordinating with sales, accounts, purchase, warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth order processing and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries received through phone calls, WhatsApp, emails and other channels.

• Understand customer requirements, including product specifications, quantity, budget and delivery timelines.

• Explain product details, pricing, specifications and benefits to prospective customers.

• Prepare quotations, price lists, product catalogues and sales proposals.

• Follow up with prospective customers regularly to convert enquiries into orders.

• Maintain and update customer details, leads and follow-up records in CRM software.

• Coordinate with the sales, accounts, purchase, warehouse and logistics departments.

• Handle customer queries relating to pricing, product availability, delivery and payment terms.

• Maintain daily and weekly reports of enquiries, quotations, follow-ups and order conversions.

• Build positive customer relationships and support repeat business.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Graduate or Diploma in any discipline; B.Com/BBA will be preferred.

• 1–3 years of experience in Presales, Inside Sales, Sales Coordination or a similar role.

• Experience in wholesale, retail, FMCG, distribution or trading businesses will be an advantage.

• Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Tamil.

• Knowledge of Hindi will be an added advantage.

• Basic working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, email and quotation preparation.

• Familiarity with CRM software such as Zoho, HubSpot, Salesforce or similar platforms.

• Good follow-up, coordination, customer-handling and negotiation skills.

• Ability to work with targets and manage multiple customer enquiries.
