Field Sales Team Leader

Job Description – Field Sales Manager
Location: MG Road, Camp, Pune
Reporting To: Director
Experience: 4–8 Years in Field Sales, preferably in FMCG, Toys, Consumer Goods, Stationary or Retail
Salary: ₹35,000 – ₹50,000 per month + Performance Incentives + Travel Allowance + Health Insurance
Working Days: Monday to Saturday
Working Hours: 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Field Sales Manager to drive retail sales, expand the distributor and retailer network, achieve sales targets, and manage the field sales team. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in field sales, distributor handling, retail expansion, team management, negotiation, and market development.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Market Expansion

• Identify and onboard new retailers, distributors, and business partners.

• Expand the company's retail presence across the assigned territory.

• Develop strategies to increase sales and market penetration.

• Maintain strong relationships with existing retail and distribution partners.

2. Distributor & Retailer Management

• Manage distributor and retailer relationships effectively.

• Ensure proper stock availability and timely replenishment.

• Coordinate with distributors for orders, payments, stock movement, and sales growth.

• Resolve distributor and retailer concerns promptly.

3. Team Management

• Lead and manage a team of field sales executives.

• Set individual and team sales targets.

• Monitor daily field activities and sales performance.

• Train, motivate, and guide team members to achieve targets.

• Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.

4. Product Promotion & Merchandising

• Conduct product demonstrations and presentations for retailers and distributors.

• Ensure proper product visibility and merchandising at retail outlets.

• Execute promotional campaigns and sales activities in the assigned territory.

5. Sales Target Achievement

• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

• Track sales performance and identify areas for improvement.

• Develop action plans to improve team and territory performance.

6. Market & Competitor Analysis

• Monitor competitor pricing, products, promotions, and market activities.

• Identify new business opportunities and potential markets.

• Share market feedback and competitor insights with management.

7. Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain accurate records of sales, orders, stock, and distributor/retailer accounts.

• Prepare regular sales and field activity reports.

• Provide management with updates on sales performance and market conditions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in FMCG, Toys, Consumer Goods, Retail, or similar industries preferred.

• Strong distributor and retailer management skills.

• Experience in managing and motivating a field sales team.

• Good market development and competitor analysis skills.

• Strong relationship-building and problem-solving abilities.

• Good knowledge of the assigned market/territory.

• Valid driving license is mandatory.
