Cinema Duty Manager
A Cinema Duty Manager is responsible for the smooth day-to-day operation of the cinema, ensuring excellent customer service, staff management, and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations Management
Oversee daily cinema operations during assigned shifts.
Ensure all auditoriums, lobby, washrooms, and common areas are clean and presentable.
Open and close the cinema according to company procedures.
Ensure movie schedules run on time.
2. Staff Supervision
Supervise ushers, box office staff, concession staff, cleaners, and security.
Assign daily duties and monitor employee performance.
Conduct shift briefings before opening.
Handle staff attendance, punctuality, and discipline.
Train new employees on SOPs and customer service standards.
3. Customer Service
Ensure guests receive excellent service.
Resolve customer complaints professionally and promptly.
Handle ticket issues, refunds, and exchanges according to company policy.
Assist customers with seating, accessibility, and special requests.
4. Food & Beverage Operations
Monitor concession sales and service quality.
Ensure food hygiene and cleanliness standards are maintained.
Monitor stock levels and report shortages.
Minimize wastage and control inventory.
5. Cash Handling
Verify cash floats before shifts.
Monitor ticket and concession cash handling.
Prepare end-of-day cash reconciliation.
Ensure accurate financial records are maintained.
6. Safety & Security
Ensure compliance with fire and safety regulations.
Conduct routine safety inspections.
Handle emergency situations such as medical incidents, power failures, or evacuations.
Report accidents and prepare incident reports.
7. Facility Management
Report maintenance issues.
Coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs.
Ensure projection, sound, air conditioning, lighting, and seating are functioning properly.
8. Sales & Business Performance
Help achieve ticket and concession sales targets.
Promote loyalty programs and special offers.
Monitor occupancy and recommend promotional activities.
