Through advanced psychometric assessments mapping aptitude, interests, and personality, we provide actionable clarity to students and their parents.
To support our rapid expansion across premier private Senior Secondary Schools, we are building an elite, on-demand network of certified educational and psychological counsellors to conduct high-stakes 1-on-1 career mapping sessions.
Role Overview
This is a highly flexible, freelance role built on a Part-Time / Pay-Per-Session model. As an on-demand consultant for Aptelo, you will interpret our proprietary, multi-dimensional psychometric reports and deliver empathetic, data-backed guidance to students and parents during critical academic milestones (such as Class 10 stream selection and college profile building).
Key Responsibilities
Expert Report Interpretation: Review and analyze Aptelo's automated psychometric data (Aptitude, Personality, Interest) ahead of scheduled sessions.
High-Impact Counselling: Conduct 45-to-60 minute personalized 1-on-1 career mapping sessions with students, often accompanied by their parents, either virtually or physically on-campus.
Subject & Stream Alignment: Guide Class 10 students toward correct CBSE stream configurations based on their cognitive strengths and future university goals (e.g., matching streams to CUET/JEE/NEET domain prerequisites).
De-escalating Parental Anxiety: Act as an objective, professional mediator to translate complex assessment metrics into a clear, stress-free academic roadmap for the household.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Master’s Degree (MA/M.Sc) in Psychology (Clinical, Counselling, or Organizational), Child Development, or a Master’s in Education (M.Ed).
• Professional Certification: Valid certification from a recognized career guidance body
• Framework Knowledge : Prior hands-on experience interpreting standard psychometric testing batteries (such as the Holland Codes/RIASEC model, Big Five/OCEAN profile, or standard aptitude batteries).
• Communication Skills : Exceptional presentation skills with absolute fluency in English and conversational Hindi to seamlessly handle premium private school clienteles.
• 1–3 years of experience in career counselling, student counselling, admissions, education consultancy, edtech, or a related field
• Strong counselling, listening, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to understand student needs and provide practical, personalized guidance
• Familiarity with admission processes, courses, colleges, and career options is preferred
• Ability to handle multiple student enquiries and follow-ups efficiently
• Basic computer skills, including MS Office and CRM tools
