Job Title: Business Development Executive (FMCG)

About the Role

We are looking for a Business Development Executive to support sales and market expansion activities in the FMCG sector. The role involves identifying prospects, generating leads, building relationships with distributors/retailers, and supporting revenue growth through structured follow-ups and field/business development activities.

Key Responsibilities

 Identify and develop new business opportunities in FMCG markets B2B

 Conduct market research to map potential distributors, retailers, and channel partners

 Generate and qualify leads through calls, emails, and in-person meetings

 Support sales targets through consistent follow-ups and relationship building

 Assist in on-ground brand activation, trade promotions, and events

 Maintain and grow strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key accounts

 Prepare and maintain sales pipeline, visit reports, and MIS

 Coordinate closely with the sales & marketing teams to align strategies

 Handle inquiries, quotations, and basic negotiations with prospects

 Collect market intelligence about competition, pricing, and customer preferences

Required Skills

 Strong communication and presentation skills

 Ability to do cold calling and outbound prospecting

 Confidence in dealing with retailers, distributors, and field teams

 Basic understanding of FMCG sales channels and trade marketing

 Proficiency in MS Excel / CRM tools (added advantage)

 Good relationship-building and negotiation ability

Preferred Background

 Experience in FMCG sales / business development / demand generation will be preferred

Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Marketing, Business, or related field

 MBA/PGDM preferred but not mandatory
