Job Description – Business Development Manager (BDM)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and result-oriented Business Development Manager (BDM) to identify new business opportunities, generate quality leads, develop customer relationships, and drive sales growth for air compressors and other industrial products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and research potential customers through online platforms, social media, industrial directories, and other business networks.

• Generate qualified B2B leads and develop new business opportunities for air compressors and industrial equipment.

• Connect with prospective clients through phone calls, WhatsApp, emails, and other communication channels.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, dealers, distributors, and industrial clients.

• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products and solutions.

• Prepare and share product catalogues, quotations, and commercial proposals.

• Follow up with prospective customers, negotiate pricing, and convert leads into confirmed orders.

• Coordinate with the sales, technical, and operations teams to ensure smooth order processing and customer satisfaction.

• Maintain accurate records of leads, customer interactions, sales pipelines, and follow-up activities.

• Achieve business development targets, sales revenue goals, and customer acquisition objectives.

• Identify market trends, competitor activities, and new opportunities to expand the customer base.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

• Strong lead generation, online research, and prospecting abilities.

• Experience in B2B sales, business development, or industrial product sales is preferred.

• Ability to convert prospects into customers and achieve sales targets.

• Good follow-up, relationship management, and customer handling skills.

• Basic knowledge of MS Excel, email communication, and CRM or lead management tools.

• Self-motivated, target-oriented, and capable of working independently.

Preferred Industry Experience: Air compressors, industrial machinery, manufacturing, engineering products, and industrial equipment.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Qualified leads generated, new customers acquired, sales conversion rate, revenue generated, and achievement of business development targets.
