Role: Business Development Executive – Inside Sales
About the Role
We are looking for a Business Development Executive to handle B2B customer development and sales activities from our office.
This is primarily an inside sales / office-based role. The person will be responsible for contacting prospective and existing customers, understanding their requirements, arranging meetings, coordinating product samples and material trials, preparing quotations, following up for purchase orders, coordinating deliveries and following up for payments.
The executive will manage the customer sales process from the first call until successful order completion and payment collection.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and contact potential customers through phone calls, email, LinkedIn and other business platforms.
Introduce the company, products and solutions to prospective customers.
Understand the customer's application and material requirements.
Identify the right contact person, such as Purchase, R&D, Quality, Production or Engineering teams.
Generate new business opportunities and maintain regular follow-up with leads.
Schedule online or physical meetings between customers and the relevant sales/technical team.
Coordinate product information, TDS, SDS, brochures and other technical documents required by customers.
Arrange product samples for customer evaluation and material trials.
Regularly follow up with customers regarding sample testing and trial results.
Coordinate internally for technical clarification and suitable product recommendations.
Prepare and send quotations to customers.
Negotiate and follow up on commercial discussions under management guidance.
Follow up with customers for Purchase Orders (PO).
Coordinate with the warehouse, accounts and logistics teams for order processing and dispatch.
Keep customers informed regarding material availability, dispatch and delivery status.
Follow up for payment as per agreed payment terms.
Maintain proper records of customer enquiries, quotations, samples, trials, orders and payments.
Update daily and weekly sales follow-up reports.
Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and identify opportunities for repeat business.
Follow up with inactive customers and develop new enquiries from existing accounts.
Coordinate with management regarding important customer requirements, complaints or business opportunities.

Candidate Requirements
Graduate in any discipline.
6 months to 3 years of experience in sales, business development, inside sales, customer coordination or tele-sales preferred.
Experience in chemicals, industrial products, automotive components, electronics, electrical products, adhesives, silicones or manufacturing-related industries will be preferred.
Good communication and customer-handling skills.
Comfortable speaking with customers over phone and email.
Basic written and spoken English.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, email and basic computer operations.
Ability to regularly follow up with multiple customers.
Good coordination and organisational skills.
Willingness to learn technical products and their applications.
Self-motivated and comfortable working with sales targets.

We are looking for someone who is persistent with follow-ups, comfortable talking to customers, organised and eager to learn.
The candidate should understand that industrial B2B sales may involve multiple follow-ups between the first enquiry, material trial and final purchase order. The ability to consistently follow up and move opportunities to the next stage will be an important part of the role.
