City Head (BLR) - Job Description 1. Driver Management ● Manage recruitment, onboarding, and training of drivers. ● Monitor driver performance (attendance, driving behavior, safety compliance). ● Liaison with Partner organisation for driver rostering, shift allocation, and route assignments. ● Address driver grievances and ensure retention. 2. Fleet Operations Management ● Ensure 100% uptime and availability of EV fleet as per demand requirements. ● Daily monitoring of fleet utilization, trip completion, and SLA adherence. ● Allocate vehicles to routes based on demand, efficiency, and charging schedules. ● Track vehicle health, downtime, and coordinate repairs/servicing. ● Optimize charging cycles and coordinate with charging infra partners. 3. Client & Service Delivery ● Serve as primary contact for Partner Fleet Operators who act as a demand aggregator for Astranova in the city. ● Ensure compliance with service level agreements (timeliness, safety, reporting). ● Handle Driver escalations, Partner Fleet Operator escalations and resolve operational issues. ● Provide MIS reports and dashboards to clients on fleet usage, punctuality, and sustainability metrics. 4. Cost & Financial Control ● Monitor city-level P&L, operating costs, and revenue realization. ● Optimize expenses (driver payouts, charging costs, maintenance). ● Ensure billing accuracy and timely collection from clients. ● Work on cost efficiency levers (better routing, charging tie-ups, preventive maintenance). 5. Compliance & Safety ● Ensure adherence to ETS SLAs, local transport regulations, RTO norms, and EV guidelines. ● Implement safety protocols (GPS tracking, emergency response, vehicle checks). ● Conduct regular audits on driver behavior, vehicle documentation, and compliance records. 6. Technology & Data ● Leverage telematics, fleet management software, and dashboards for decision-making. ● Support Drivers’ earnings by analyzing trip-level data to identify efficiency gaps (empty runs, over-utilization, under-utilization). ● Work with tech/product teams to improve app features for drivers and clients. 7. Team Leadership ● Manage a city ops team (supervisors, fleet executives). ● Define KRAs/KPIs for team members. ● Conduct reviews, training, and motivation initiatives. ● Build a succession pipeline for critical roles. 8. Growth & Expansion ● Support business team in onboarding new Lease to Own Drivers in Bengaluru. ● Plan fleet expansion and deployment roadmap based on Partner Client demand. ● Identify new charging hubs/partners for scale-up. ● Benchmark competitors and implement best practices.
