Store Sales Manager – Furniture Retail
Company: Teak & Torch
Industry: Furniture & Home Interiors
Role: Store Sales Manager
Employment Type: Full-time
About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Store Sales Manager who will take ownership of the overall sales and customer experience at our furniture store. The role involves managing the store sales team, driving conversions, following up with leads, coordinating customized orders with the factory, and ensuring customers have a smooth experience from their first interaction until final delivery and post-sales support.
This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable managing both people and processes and can take ownership rather than only focusing on individual sales.
Key Responsibilities
Store Sales & Target Management: Own the store's monthly sales targets, monitor individual team performance, improve conversions, and ensure timely follow-ups with customers.
Team Management: Manage, train and motivate the store sales team. Allocate leads, review follow-ups and ensure sales processes and customer communication standards are followed.
Lead Follow-up & Telecalling: Manage cold calling and telecalling activities, including lead allocation, follow-up discipline, appointment scheduling and conversion of leads into store visits and sales.
Customer Management: Personally handle high-value customers and escalated customer situations. Ensure complaints and concerns are resolved professionally and promptly.
Customization & Order Finalization: Understand customer requirements related to furniture dimensions, fabrics, colours, finishes and other customizations. Prepare and clearly document customization requirements before sending orders for production.
Factory Coordination: Act as a bridge between the sales team and factory. Ensure customer requirements are communicated accurately, clarify production queries quickly and continuously track orders until completion.
Delivery & Timeline Management: Monitor ongoing orders and proactively coordinate with the factory and operations teams to ensure products are completed and delivered within committed timelines.
Post-Sales Service: Take ownership of post-delivery concerns, service requests and escalations and coordinate with the relevant teams until closure.
Reporting & Analysis: Maintain sales, lead, conversion and order trackers and regularly review store performance and pending orders.

3–6 years of experience in retail sales, furniture, home interiors, modular furniture, consumer durables or a similar customer-facing industry

Experience in furniture/interiors and customized products will be an advantage
What Success Looks Like
The Store Sales Manager will be responsible not only for achieving store sales targets, but also for ensuring that leads are followed up properly, customers receive the right product specifications, orders move smoothly from sales to production, deliveries happen on time, and escalations are taken through to closure.
We are looking for someone who treats the store and its customers with an ownership mindset and is comfortable getting involved wherever required to close a sale or solve a customer problem.
