Automobile Sales Manager

Reporting To: General Manager / Dealer Principal

Job Summary:

The Sales Manager at a Car Showroom is responsible for overseeing the entire sales operation, leading a team of Relationship Managers (sales executives), ensuring exceptional customer experience, achieving monthly sales targets, and maintaining brand standards as per Maruti Suzuki's guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Lead, train, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and collective targets.

• Allocate daily tasks and monitor performance.

• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback.

• Sales & Target Achievement: Plan and implement monthly and quarterly sales targets.

• Develop strategies to increase showroom footfall and conversion rates.

• Track market trends and competitor activity.

• Customer Relationship Management: Ensure a premium and personalized customer experience.

• Resolve customer complaints or escalations swiftly and effectively.

• Promote customer retention and referral programs.

• Inventory & Product Management: Coordinate with inventory and procurement teams to ensure availability of fast-moving models

• Collaborate with the manufacturer’s backend for stock and promotional support.

5. Marketing & Promotions: Execute local marketing initiatives and tie-ups.

• Organize test-drive campaigns, events, and roadshows.

6. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain daily sales reports, forecast analysis, and MIS.

• Ensure proper documentation for vehicle sales, finance, and insurance.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).

• 5–8 years of sales experience, preferably in the automobile or retail sector.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

• Good understanding of automotive finance and insurance processes.
