Area Sales Manager (ASM) – Pharma Industrial Sales

Role Overview
The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth across the assigned territory by managing key pharmaceutical accounts, expanding new business opportunities, and developing a high-performing distributor network. The role requires a consultative sales approach, strong technical understanding, and the ability to build long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned territory.
Identify and acquire new pharmaceutical manufacturing plants while expanding business with existing customers.
Conduct technical discussions, product demonstrations, trials, and validations with customers.
Build and maintain strong relationships with QA, QC, Production, Engineering, and Procurement teams.
Manage and develop distributors to drive primary and secondary sales.
Monitor sales performance, distributor billing, and territory growth.
Ensure timely collections and maintain commercial discipline.
Track competitor activities, pricing, and market trends to identify business opportunities.
Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and territory updates.
Coach and support field sales executives (where applicable) to improve performance and achieve business objectives.
Required Experience
5–8 years of experience in B2B, industrial, or pharmaceutical sales.
Experience selling to pharmaceutical manufacturing plants is preferred.
Distributor management experience is mandatory.
Proven track record of consistently achieving sales targets.
Experience in managing key accounts and driving business growth.
Please Note: Candidates with experience solely as Medical Representatives are not suitable for this role.
