About the Role

We are seeking a mature, highly persuasive, and professional Academic Counselor to join our team. In this in-office role, you will be the first point of contact for students and parents visiting our center. Your primary responsibility will be to understand their educational goals, provide expert counseling, and successfully pitch our courses and learning products to drive enrollments.

Key Responsibilities

• Face-to-Face Counseling: Greet and conduct in-depth counseling sessions with students and parents who visit our office.

• Needs Assessment: Evaluate the academic background and career aspirations of prospective students to recommend the most suitable courses.

• Product Pitching: Clearly and convincingly explain the value, features, and outcomes of our educational products and courses.

• Lead Conversion: Handle objections gracefully, negotiate effectively, and close sales to convert walk-ins and scheduled appointments into enrollments.

• Target Achievement: Consistently meet and exceed individual and team enrollment targets.

• Pipeline Management: Follow up with undecided walk-in leads via phone or email to nurture and close pending admissions.

• Record Keeping: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all counseling sessions, student interactions, and enrollment statuses.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Must be a Graduate in any discipline.

• Experience: Minimum 2 to 3 years of proven experience in academic counseling, or any kind of high ticket sales closing inside sales, or educational sales.

• Language Proficiency: Fluency in both English and Tamil is strictly required to build rapport with local students and parents.

• Communication: Exceptional listening, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Sales Acumen: Strong persuasive abilities with a proven track record of converting leads into sales.

• Professionalism: Must possess a mature, welcoming demeanor and the ability to maintain a positive, high-energy environment in the office.
