The HVAC Project Engineer will support the planning, execution, and delivery of HVAC projects by coordinating engineering activities, site execution, vendor management, and quality control. The role involves ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
Project Execution & Coordination
Assist in planning and execution of HVAC projects including chillers, VRF/VRV systems, AHUs, FCUs, ducting, piping, and ventilation systems.
Coordinate with project managers, consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
Monitor site activities and ensure adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and schedules.
Engineering & Design Support
Review HVAC drawings, BOQs, and technical submittals.
Support preparation of shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications.
Site Management
Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems.
Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues during execution.
Coordinate with civil, electrical, and plumbing teams for interface management.
Vendor & Material Management
Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for material procurement and delivery.
Verify material quality and ensure approvals before installation.
Assist in cost control and quantity tracking.
Quality, Safety & Documentation
Ensure quality control procedures are followed at site.
Adhere to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines.
Maintain project documentation including daily reports, as-built drawings, and handover documents.
Testing & Commissioning
Assist in HVAC testing, balancing, commissioning, and system handover.
Support troubleshooting and performance optimization.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Experience
1–5 years of relevant experience in HVAC project execution or MEP projects.
Technical Skills
Knowledge of HVAC systems: Chillers, VRF/VRV, DX systems, ducting, piping, and ventilation.
Familiarity with HVAC standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, ISHRAE, or equivalent).
Ability to read and interpret HVAC drawings and specifications.
Software Skills
AutoCAD (mandatory)
MS Office (Excel, Word, Project)
Knowledge of Revit / BIM will be an advantage.
