Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Chiller Operator to operate, monitor, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and ensure the efficient operation of chiller plants and HVAC systems. The ideal candidate should have sound technical knowledge of chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and associated equipment while ensuring uninterrupted plant operation and compliance with all safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor air-cooled and water-cooled chiller systems.
Monitor and record chiller operating parameters such as temperature, pressure, voltage, current, and flow rates.
Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance of chillers, cooling towers, pumps, AHUs, FCUs, and associated HVAC equipment.
Identify mechanical and electrical faults and carry out basic troubleshooting.
Ensure optimum performance and energy-efficient operation of chiller plants.
Maintain daily logbooks, maintenance records, and inspection reports.
Coordinate with the maintenance team during breakdowns and major repairs.
Follow preventive maintenance schedules and report abnormalities immediately.
Ensure compliance with company safety policies and standard operating procedures.
Maintain housekeeping of the chiller plant room and equipment.
Required Qualifications:
ITI / Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
0–6 years of experience as a Chiller Operator or in HVAC Plant Operations.
Knowledge of chiller systems, cooling towers, pumps, AHUs, FCUs, and HVAC equipment.
Ability to monitor operating parameters and perform basic troubleshooting.
Familiarity with preventive maintenance procedures.
Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with commercial or industrial chiller plants.
Knowledge of centrifugal, screw, or scroll chillers.
Understanding of chilled water systems and cooling tower operations.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift equipment and maintenance tools.
Comfortable working in plant rooms, confined spaces, and industrial environments.
Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends, or rotational shifts as required.
