Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Team Lead to independently manage end-to-end payroll operations for a single client. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in payroll processing, statutory compliance, employee lifecycle management, and client coordination. The role requires ownership of the complete payroll function while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
Essential requirements:
Bcom/MBA (Finance)/Mcom Qualification with a minimum of 5-6 years’ experience in CA firms or payroll department in companies or Payroll outsourcing company/ end to end payroll processing.
Strong knowledge of payroll compliances including PF, ESI, PT, TDS, Labour Welfare Fund, and applicable labour laws.
Thorough knowledge of payroll processing, labour laws, PF, ESI, Professional Tax (PT), TDS, and other statutory compliances.
Hands-on experience with payroll software such as GreytHR, Razorpay Payroll, Keka, or similar platforms.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to independently manage payroll operations and client interactions.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Good oral and written communication abilities
Principal Responsibilities: -
Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a dedicated client.
Collect, validate, and process monthly payroll inputs including attendance, leave, incentives, reimbursements, and salary revisions.
Ensure accurate payroll computation and timely salary disbursement.
Handle employee onboarding, salary structuring, and payroll master updates.
Manage statutory compliances including PF, ESI, PT, TDS, and Labour Welfare Fund.
Prepare and file payroll-related statutory returns within prescribed timelines.
Process Full & Final (F&F) settlements, leave encashment, and employee separations.
Conduct annual tax calculations, Proof of Investment (POI) verification, and Form 16 issuance.
Generate payroll reports, MIS reports, reconciliation statements, and compliance reports.
Serve as the primary point of contact for client payroll queries and escalations.
Ensure compliance with company policies, labour laws, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
Coordinate with internal teams and government authorities on payroll-related matters when required.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and payroll automation.
