Job Summary
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for handling day-to-day HR operations and supporting various HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, attendance management, compliance, payroll coordination, training, and HR documentation. The role ensures smooth HR processes and supports organizational policies and employee engagement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
Coordinate manpower requirements with department heads.
Source, screen, and schedule interviews for candidates.
Handle joining formalities and employee onboarding processes.
Handle exit formalities including resignation, clearance, and full & final settlement coordination.
Maintain employee records and documentation.
HR Operations
Maintain employee personal files and HR records.
Prepare HR letters and documentation.
Update attendance, leave, and employee database regularly.
Maintain confidentiality of employee information.
Coordinate with payroll team for salary inputs and corrections.
Verify overtime, incentives, and statutory deductions.
Employee Relations
Address employee queries and grievances professionally.
Support employee engagement and welfare activities.
Ensure discipline and adherence to company policies.
Compliance & Statutory Activities
Support compliance related to labor laws and company policies.
Coordinate statutory documentation such as PF, ESIC, gratuity, and bonus records.
Assist during internal and external audits.
Training & Performance Support
Coordinate training programs and maintain training records.
Assist in performance appraisal and confirmation processes.
Required Skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and HR software.
Strong organisational and documentation skills.
Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
MBA / PGDM in HR preferred.
Experience
1–3 years of experience in HR operations or a generalist role.
Preferred Qualities
Team player with a problem-solving attitude.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
Good coordination and follow-up skills.
