Job Summary:
The Assistant Manager – HR will be responsible for managing end-to-end HR operations at the factory level, with a strong focus on shop-floor workforce management, statutory compliance, payroll coordination, and employee relations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handle recruitment of shop-floor workers, helpers, operators, and supervisors.
• Manage attendance, shift scheduling, overtime, and leave records.
• Coordinate payroll inputs and support wage processing for factory employees.
• Ensure compliance with the Factory Act, PF, ESI, Minimum Wages, Bonus Act, and other labor laws.
• Maintain statutory registers and factory HR documentation.
• Handle contract labor management and coordinate with labor vendors.
• Address worker grievances, discipline matters, and maintain healthy employee relations.
• Support safety orientation and basic training programs for factory staff.
• Monitor and control absenteeism and attrition at the plant level.
• Prepare and maintain HR MIS reports including headcount, attendance, and manpower status.
Required Skills & Competencies:
• Strong knowledge of factory HR operations and labor laws.
• Hands-on experience in shop-floor workforce handling.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to handle worker issues and maintain discipline.
• Proficient in HR documentation and MIS reporting.
Educational Qualification:
• Graduate/Post Graduate in HR, Industrial Relations, or related field preferred.
