We’re looking for an HR Manager to lead end-to-end HR operations for a fast-paced event company. This role handles hiring for event and office teams, building HR policies and processes, employee relations, performance management, and compliance—while supporting seasonal staffing needs for events.
Recruitment and Staffing
Manage full-cycle recruitment for office roles and event-based staff (e.g., crew, promoters, coordinators, technicians).
Build and maintain a talent pipeline for peak seasons and short-notice event requirements.
Coordinate interviews, offers, onboarding, and documentation.
Work with department heads to define job requirements and staffing plans per event calendar.
HR Operations
Maintain employee records, contracts, and HR documentation (physical and digital).
Oversee attendance, leave management, and shift/roster coordination where applicable.
Ensure smooth onboarding and offboarding processes.
Policies and Compliance
Develop, implement, and update HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbook.
Ensure compliance with local labor laws and company standards.
Manage disciplinary actions, investigations, and conflict resolution fairly and consistently.
Performance and Engagement
Run performance review cycles and support managers with goal-setting and feedback.
Support training needs (customer service, workplace conduct, safety basics for events).
Drive employee engagement initiatives suited to a high-energy events environment.
Payroll and Benefits Support
Coordinate payroll inputs (attendance, overtime, allowances, deductions) with finance/payroll.
Support benefits administration where applicable (insurance, advances, reimbursements).
Culture and Communication
Promote a positive, professional workplace culture across both office and event staff.
Act as a trusted point of contact for employee concerns and manager support.
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
1-2 years of HR experience; events/hospitality/retail/operations-heavy industry experience preferred.
Strong recruitment skills, especially for high-volume or fast-turnaround hiring.
Working knowledge of labor law basics and HR best practices.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and confidentiality.
Comfortable working flexible hours during peak event periods as needed.
Hands-on HR generalist capability (not just recruitment).
Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to staffing changes.
Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency with MS Office/Google Workspace; HRMS familiarity is a plus.
