We are a growing ethanol manufacturing plant in Chhattisgarh with a workforce of 200 employees operating across three shifts. We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to own end-to-end HR functions — from attendance and payroll to statutory compliance and people management.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage attendance and shift rosters across all three shifts using biometric systems and HRMS; handle OT tracking, late marks, and leave administration
Process end-to-end monthly payroll for 200 employees including CTC management, arrears, loans, and salary revisions
Handle all statutory compliance independently — PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, LWF, Bonus, and Gratuity
Maintain all Factories Act statutory registers — Form 17, 25, 25A, 19, 21 — and file annual and half-yearly returns
Manage contract labour compliance including principal employer registers, contractor licences, and Form XII/XIII
Lead the rollout of our new HRMS platform including biometric integration, data migration, and team training
Handle full employee lifecycle — recruitment, onboarding, probation confirmations, disciplinary actions, and F&F settlements
Ensure POSH compliance, maintain ICC constitution, and file annual POSH reports
Liaise with labour department, handle inspections, and respond to notices
Candidate Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of HR experience with at least 3 years in a manufacturing, chemical, sugar, distillery, or process plant environment
Hands-on experience with PF, ESIC, and Factories Act compliance — not just coordinating with a consultant
Proven ability to manage a blue-collar workforce across rotating shifts including night shifts, OT, and absenteeism management
Proficiency with HRMS platforms such as GreytHR, Keka, or similar
Strong working knowledge of Certified Standing Orders and Chhattisgarh labour laws
Experience handling labour department inspections and audits preferred
Hindi fluency essential; knowledge of Chhattisgarhi an advantage
Nice to Have:
Prior experience in ethanol, chemical, or related process industries
Exposure to contract workforce management of 50 or more workers
