Job Summary

Mita India Private Limited is looking for an experienced and responsible Deputy Manager / Assistant Manager – HR & Employee Relations to manage core HR operations at its Dewas manufacturing plant.

The candidate will be responsible for managing plant-level HR activities, employee relations, manpower planning, recruitment, statutory compliance, contractor management, employee engagement, and HR administration.

The role requires close coordination with plant management, production, maintenance, quality, finance, and other functional departments to ensure effective workforce management, employee satisfaction, and smooth HR operations.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in manufacturing plant HR, employee grievance handling, labor relations, statutory compliance, and manpower management.

### 4. Key Responsibilities

#### A. Plant HR Operations & Manpower Management

• Manage day-to-day HR operations at the Dewas manufacturing plant.

• Prepare and monitor manpower planning based on production requirements and business needs.

• Coordinate recruitment, selection, onboarding, and induction of employees.

• Work closely with department heads to identify manpower requirements and ensure timely hiring.

• Monitor manpower deployment, absenteeism, attrition, and employee retention.

• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.

• Ensure effective coordination between HR, plant operations, and management.

#### B. Recruitment, Onboarding & Induction

• Manage recruitment for permanent employees, apprentices, and other plant workforce requirements.

• Coordinate the complete employee onboarding process, including documentation and joining formalities.

• Conduct employee induction and orientation programs.

• Ensure new employees understand company policies, workplace rules, safety procedures, and HR processes.

• Coordinate with hiring managers and recruitment partners for timely closure of open positions.

#### C. Apprenticeship Management – NAPS / NATS

• Manage apprentice hiring and administration through NAPS and NATS schemes, as applicable.

• Coordinate apprentice registration, onboarding, documentation, and engagement.

• Maintain apprentice records, attendance, stipend-related documentation, and statutory requirements.

• Coordinate with relevant authorities and internal departments for apprentice compliance.

• Monitor apprentice performance, training progress, and conversion opportunities, as per business requirements.

#### D. Employee Relations & Grievance Handling

• Manage day-to-day employee relations activities at the manufacturing plant.

• Handle employee grievances, complaints, and workplace concerns in a timely and professional manner.

• Investigate employee-related issues and coordinate with management for appropriate resolution.

• Maintain proper documentation of grievance cases, disciplinary actions, and employee communications.

• Support a positive, respectful, and productive work environment.

• Assist in implementing employee relations policies and procedures.

• Handle disciplinary matters in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.

#### E. Labor Relations & Employee Engagement

• Support positive labor and employee relations within the plant.

• Coordinate with employee representatives and union representatives, where applicable.

• Assist management in addressing workforce-related issues and maintaining workplace harmony.

• Organize employee engagement activities, welfare initiatives, and communication programs.

• Support initiatives to improve employee satisfaction, retention, and workplace culture.

• Assist in resolving employee concerns through effective communication and conflict resolution.

#### F. Contractor Manpower Management

• Manage contractor manpower deployment and documentation at the plant.

• Coordinate with contractors for manpower requirements, attendance, and workforce administration.

• Verify contractor manpower records and invoices before processing.

• Ensure applicable contractor compliance requirements are maintained.

• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders for contractor onboarding and workforce-related issues.

• Monitor contractor manpower utilization and compliance with company requirements.

#### G. Statutory Compliance & Labor Laws

• Ensure compliance with applicable Indian labor laws and statutory requirements.

• Coordinate statutory compliance related to PF, ESI, minimum wages, and other applicable regulations.

• Maintain and update statutory records and compliance documentation.

• Support factory license and labor-related regulatory documentation.

• Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants, as required.

• Prepare documents and support statutory inspections and audits.

• Ensure timely follow-up on compliance observations and corrective actions.

Note: Statutory responsibilities will be performed in accordance with applicable laws, the company's compliance framework, and the scope assigned to the role.

#### H. Plant Administration & Employee Welfare

• Coordinate plant administration activities related to employee welfare and daily operations.

• Manage and monitor employee transportation arrangements, where applicable.

• Coordinate canteen management and employee welfare facilities.

• Ensure availability and distribution of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in coordination with relevant departments.

• Support employee welfare initiatives and workplace facility requirements.

• Coordinate with administration and plant management to resolve employee facility-related concerns.

#### I. Time Office & Attendance Management

• Oversee time office activities, including attendance, shift schedules, and employee records.

• Monitor employee attendance, absenteeism, overtime, and leave records.

• Coordinate with production and department heads regarding shift management and workforce attendance.

• Ensure accurate attendance data for payroll processing.

• Support the implementation and maintenance of HRMS/time office systems.

• Monitor attendance-related queries and ensure timely resolution.

#### J. Training, Skill Mapping & Performance Management

• Maintain employee training records and documentation.

• Coordinate employee training programs in collaboration with department heads.

• Support skill mapping and competency development initiatives.

• Assist in performance appraisal processes and employee development activities.

• Identify training requirements based on skill gaps and operational needs.

• Support employee retention and career development initiatives.

#### K. Quality Management & Audit Support

• Maintain HR-related records and documentation required for internal and external audits.

• Support compliance with applicable IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 requirements, as relevant to the plant's HR processes.

• Coordinate HR documentation for statutory, quality, and management system audits.

• Support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions related to HR observations.

• Ensure training records, competency records, and other relevant documentation are maintained accurately.

### 5. Required Skills & Competencies

The candidate should possess the following skills:

• Strong knowledge of plant HR operations and employee relations.

• Experience in grievance handling and disciplinary matters.

• Good understanding of Indian labor laws and statutory compliance.

• Experience in manpower planning, recruitment, and workforce management.

• Knowledge of contractor manpower management and compliance.

• Experience with HRMS and time office/attendance systems.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Effective conflict-resolution and problem-solving abilities.

• Good documentation and reporting skills.

• Ability to coordinate with employees, department heads, and senior management.

• Fluency in the local language and business English.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

### 6. Preferred Candidate Profile

• 8–10 years of core HR experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Experience in automobile, auto-components, engineering, or industrial manufacturing preferred.

• Strong exposure to plant HR operations and employee relations.

• Experience in manpower management, employee grievances, statutory compliance, and contractor workforce administration.

• Experience in handling shop-floor employees and coordinating with production teams.

• Exposure to apprenticeship management through NAPS/NATS is preferred.

• Experience in labor relations, employee engagement, and HR administration.

• Knowledge of IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 audit support will be an advantage.
