HR Generalist (1–3 Years Experience) – HR Operations & Talent Acquisition

Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist with 1–3 years of experience to manage end-to-end HR operations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in recruitment, payroll processing, statutory compliances, HRMS management, MIS reporting, employee lifecycle management, and employee engagement activities. The role requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
Manage end-to-end recruitment activities for staff and operational positions.
Source candidates through job portals, social media, consultants, employee referrals, and other recruitment channels.
Screen resumes, conduct preliminary interviews, coordinate technical interviews, and schedule interviews with hiring managers.
Prepare offer letters, negotiate salaries, and ensure timely onboarding of new employees.
Maintain recruitment trackers, candidate database, and recruitment MIS.
Coordinate joining formalities and induction programs.
2. Payroll & Attendance Management
Process monthly payroll accurately and within timelines.
Verify attendance, leave records, overtime, shift allowances, incentives, and other payroll inputs.
Coordinate with Finance for salary processing, statutory deductions, reimbursements, and full & final settlements.
Resolve employee queries related to payroll, salary, attendance, and leave.
3. Statutory Compliance & HR Documentation
Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements including PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, Bonus, Gratuity, Factory Act, and Shops & Establishment Act (where applicable).
Coordinate statutory documentation, audits, inspections, and returns.
Manage employee records, personal files, appointment letters, confirmation, transfers, promotions, and separation documentation.
Monitor employee probation, contract renewals, and confirmations.
4. HRMS & MIS Reporting
Maintain and update employee information in HRMS.
Generate and analyze HR reports including headcount, attrition, recruitment status, attendance, leave, payroll, and other HR dashboards.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual HR MIS reports for management.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity across HR systems.
5. NAPS / NATS & Apprentice Management
Coordinate apprenticeship activities under NAPS and NATS schemes.
Handle apprentice registration, documentation, stipend processing, attendance, and compliance.
Liaise with external agencies, government portals, and training institutes.
Maintain records and ensure timely submission of compliance-related documentation.
6. Employee Engagement & HR Operations
Support employee engagement initiatives, celebrations, welfare activities, and employee communication.
Coordinate induction, orientation, and training programs.
Address employee queries related to HR policies and procedures.
Assist in implementing HR policies, performance management, and employee retention initiatives.
Support HR audits and continuous process improvements.
Required Qualifications
MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent qualification.
1–3 years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR Executive.
Experience in manufacturing or engineering industry will be an added advantage.
Hands-on experience in recruitment, payroll processing, statutory compliances, HRMS, and MIS reporting.
Working knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliances.
Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Lookup Functions), Word, and PowerPoint.
Experience working with HRMS and payroll software.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills.
Good analytical ability and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, Bonus, Gratuity, and labour law compliances.
Experience with NAPS/NATS apprentice management.
Exposure to HR analytics and dashboard reporting.
Experience in employee engagement and HR operations.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
