HR Executive – Job Description

Position: HR Executive
Department: Human Resources
Reports To: HR Manager / HR Head

Role Summary

The HR Executive supports day-to-day human resource operations and ensures the effective implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs. The role involves recruitment, employee relations, HR administration, and compliance with labor laws.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in end-to-end recruitment processes (sourcing, screening, interviews, onboarding).

• Maintain and update employee records, HR databases, and personnel files.

• Coordinate employee onboarding, orientation, and exit formalities.

• Support payroll processing, attendance, and leave management.

• Implement and communicate HR policies and procedures.

• Handle employee queries related to HR policies, benefits, and procedures.

• Assist in performance management and appraisal processes.

• Support training and development programs.

• Ensure compliance with labor laws and company regulations.

• Assist in employee engagement and welfare activities.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge of HR processes, labor laws, and HR best practices.

• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

• Organizational and time-management skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office and HR software/HRIS.

• Problem-solving and conflict-handling abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

• 1–3 years of experience in an HR role (freshers may apply, depending on company).

• MBA/PGDM in HR is an added advantage.
