Job Title: Plumber
Department: Site / Maintenance
Reports To: Site Supervisor / Project Manager
Job Purpose:
Responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems including water supply lines, drainage, and fittings across construction sites, in line with project drawings and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and fit pipes, fixtures, and fittings for water supply, drainage, and sanitation systems
Read and interpret plumbing layouts, blueprints, and site drawings
Carry out repairs and maintenance of existing plumbing systems
Test installed systems for leaks, pressure, and proper flow
Coordinate with site engineers and other trades (electricians, masons) to avoid clashes in installation
Ensure work complies with safety regulations and quality standards
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
Estimate materials required for assigned tasks and inform supervisor of shortages
Keep work area clean and safe
Requirements:
ITI/Diploma in Plumbing or equivalent trade certification (preferred but not mandatory with sufficient experience)
[X]+ years of experience in plumbing work, preferably in construction/site environment
Knowledge of pipe fitting techniques (PVC, CPVC, GI, copper as applicable)
Ability to read basic technical drawings
Physically fit, able to work at heights/in confined spaces as needed
Own basic tools preferred
