The Installation Technician for uPVC Doors and Windows is responsible for the precise and efficient installation of uPVC doors and windows in residential and commercial properties. This role requires technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities include:
Installing uPVC doors and windows according to company standards and specifications.
Measuring and cutting materials to the required size using hand and power tools.
Securely securing doors and windows in place, ensuring proper alignment and fit.
Reviewing work orders and project plans to understand the scope of work.
Conducting site assessments to determine installation requirements and identify potential challenges.
Preparing and organizing materials and tools needed for installations.
Communicating effectively with customers to understand their needs and providing excellent service.
Inspecting completed installations to ensure they meet company standards and customer expectations.
Performing adjustments and corrections as necessary to achieve optimal performance.
Documenting any issues or defects and reporting them to the supervisor.
Performing routine maintenance and repairs on installed uPVC doors and windows as needed.
Following all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Ensuring compliance with local building codes and regulations.
Using personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to company safety policies.
Maintaining accurate records of installations, including measurements, materials used, and time taken.
Completing and submitting installation reports, job sheets, and other required documentation.
