Reports To: Nurse Manager / Head Nurse
The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care, administering treatments, and supporting physicians and healthcare teams to ensure safe, high-quality nursing care. The role involves assessing patient needs, monitoring health conditions, and promoting patient recovery and well-being.
Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with hospital policies and nursing standards
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and patient progress
Assist doctors during examinations and medical procedures
Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation
Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and aftercare
Ensure infection control, safety, and hygiene standards are followed
Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid or life support as needed
Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care
Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
Valid nursing license or registration
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (ACLS preferred in some settings)
Freshers or experienced candidates may apply (as per requirement)
Strong clinical and patient care skills
Good communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies
Compassionate, patient-focused attitude
Attention to detail and organizational skills
Teamwork and professional ethics
Rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
May require standing for long periods and lifting patients
Exposure to clinical and hospital environments
