Job Title: Staff Nurse

Department: Nursing
Reports To: Nurse Manager / Head Nurse

Job Summary

The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care, administering treatments, and supporting physicians and healthcare teams to ensure safe, high-quality nursing care. The role involves assessing patient needs, monitoring health conditions, and promoting patient recovery and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with hospital policies and nursing standards

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians

• Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and patient progress

• Assist doctors during examinations and medical procedures

• Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation

• Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and aftercare

• Ensure infection control, safety, and hygiene standards are followed

• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid or life support as needed

• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care

Qualifications

• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

• Valid nursing license or registration

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (ACLS preferred in some settings)

• Freshers or experienced candidates may apply (as per requirement)
