We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Neuro Nurse to provide specialized care to patients with neurological disorders and injuries. The role involves monitoring complex neurological conditions, managing critical care interventions, and supporting recovery and rehabilitation under the direction of neurologists and neurosurgeons.
Provide direct nursing care to patients with neurological conditions (e.g., stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, traumatic brain injury, etc.)
Conduct neurological assessments and monitor changes in patient status
Administer medications, IV therapies, and other neurological interventions
Collaborate with neurologists, neurosurgeons, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals
Monitor vital signs, intracranial pressure (ICP), and use specialized equipment (e.g., EEG, ventilators)
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and recovery processes
Maintain accurate medical records, care plans, and documentation
Respond to neurological emergencies such as seizures, stroke alerts, or loss of consciousness
Assist with procedures such as lumbar punctures, central line placements, or post-op neurosurgical care
Promote patient safety and infection control measures
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent
Valid RN license (local licensing or registration as per country regulations)
Minimum [1-3+] years of clinical experience (neurology/neurosurgery experience preferred)
Advanced knowledge of neurological conditions and critical care nursing
BLS and ACLS certification (mandatory)
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient care skills
Ability to work under pressure in high-acuity environments (e.g., Neuro ICU, Stroke Unit)
Stroke care certification or NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) training
Experience with neuro-rehabilitation or neuro ICU
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR)
