Job Responsibilities

1. Provide 24×7 nursing care to critically ill patients as per hospital protocols.

2. Monitor and record vital signs, neurological status, intake-output, and patient condition regularly.

3. Administer medications, IV fluids, injections, and other treatments as prescribed by the doctor.

4. Manage and monitor ICU equipment, including cardiac monitor, ventilator, infusion pump, syringe pump, suction apparatus, and oxygen systems.

5. Assist doctors during emergency procedures, intubation, CPR, central line procedures, and other critical interventions.

6. Maintain accurate nursing notes, medication charts, monitoring sheets, and patient records.

7. Identify and immediately report changes in the patient's condition to the treating doctor and senior nursing staff.

8. Follow proper infection-control, hand hygiene, PPE, and biomedical-waste management practices.

9. Ensure proper handover and takeover of patients and communicate important clinical information during shift changes.

10. Maintain ICU cleanliness, patient safety, medication safety, and equipment readiness.

11. Provide appropriate support and communication to patients' relatives within hospital policies.

12. Participate in code blue/emergency response, resuscitation, and disaster preparedness activities.

13. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and hospital records.

14. Follow all hospital policies, NABH standards, nursing protocols, and disciplinary/attendance requirements.
