Dental Technician – Job Description

Position: Dental Technician

Department: Dental Department

Location: Aesthetic 360

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and fabricate dental appliances, models, crowns, bridges, dentures, retainers, and aligners as instructed.

Assist dentists with laboratory-related dental procedures.

Prepare dental impressions, casts, and models accurately.

Handle dental laboratory equipment and materials safely.

Ensure proper finishing, polishing, fitting, and quality of dental appliances.

Follow dentist instructions and treatment plans carefully.

Maintain proper hygiene, sterilization, and infection-control standards.

Maintain and organize dental laboratory equipment and materials.

Check the quality and accuracy of completed dental work before delivery.

Maintain proper records of laboratory work and patient cases.

Coordinate with dentists and clinic staff regarding case requirements and corrections.

Follow clinic SOPs, safety guidelines, and confidentiality policies.

Required Skills:

Diploma/Certificate in Dental Technology or relevant qualification.

Good knowledge of dental materials, instruments, and laboratory procedures.

Good hand skills and attention to detail.

Ability to understand dental prescriptions and laboratory instructions.

Good teamwork and communication skills.

Knowledge of infection-control and safety procedures.
