Mechanical Service Engineer – Site Installation & Inspection

Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat
Job Type: Full-Time
Travel Requirement: Gujarat & Across India

Job Role

We are looking for a Service Engineer responsible for client-site visits, machine installation, inspection, measurement, troubleshooting, and technical support. The candidate must be comfortable travelling extensively across Gujarat and all over India.

Key Responsibilities

Visit client sites across Gujarat & India for machine installation, inspection and service work.
Carry out installation, alignment, inspection and dimensional verification of machinery/equipment at customer sites.
Use Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Dial Gauge, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, Depth Gauge and other measuring instruments accurately.
Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions and tolerances.
Identify installation/service issues and coordinate with the Production, Design & Quality teams for corrective action.
Attend customer complaints and support troubleshooting & root-cause identification.
Prepare and maintain site visit, inspection and service reports.
Ensure proper safety practices while working at customer sites.
Communicate professionally with customers regarding technical observations and service work.

Required Skills

Good knowledge of Mechanical Engineering & Industrial Machinery
Knowledge of precision measuring instruments
Basic understanding of Engineering Drawings & Tolerances
Good troubleshooting & problem-solving skills
Good communication and customer-handling ability
Willingness to travel frequently across India
Experience in Gearbox / Geared Motor / Machinery / Manufacturing industry will be preferred

Mandatory Requirements

Valid Driving Licence – Mandatory
Ready to travel across Gujarat & India – Mandatory
Knowledge of Measuring Instruments – Mandatory

Education

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
