Job Description

SPM Machine Designer (Job Description)

  • Design and develop Special Purpose Machines (SPMs) based on customer and production requirements.

  • Create 2D and 3D mechanical designs, assembly drawings, and manufacturing drawings using CAD software.

  • Develop machine concepts, mechanisms, fixtures, and tooling for automation and process improvement.

  • Select and integrate mechanical components, pneumatics, hydraulics, motors, and motion control systems.

  • Perform engineering calculations related to load, force, cycle time, and machine performance.

  • Coordinate with manufacturing, assembly, and procurement teams during machine fabrication and build.

  • Support machine testing, troubleshooting, installation, and commissioning.

  • Ensure designs comply with quality, safety, and operational standards while optimizing productivity and cost.
