We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer with strong knowledge of railway wagons, heavy machinery, and mechanical systems. The candidate will be responsible for designing, inspecting, maintaining, and troubleshooting heavy equipment and wagon-related components to ensure smooth operations and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities:-
Inspect, maintain, and repair railway wagons and heavy machinery.
Monitor the performance of mechanical equipment and identify faults.
Prepare maintenance schedules and ensure timely servicing of machinery.
Read and understand mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
Coordinate with production, maintenance, and quality teams for smooth operations.
Ensure all machinery and wagon components comply with safety standards and regulations.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement corrective actions.
Handle installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
Maintain records of repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance activities.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment efficiency and reduce downtime.
Required Skills:-
Strong understanding of wagon structures, bogies, braking systems, couplers, and underframe components.
Knowledge of heavy machinery maintenance and mechanical systems.
Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and welding systems.
Ability to read engineering drawings and technical manuals.
Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of safety standards and maintenance practices.
Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with MS Office.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications:-
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
2–5 years of experience in railway wagons, heavy machinery, manufacturing, or maintenance industry preferred.
Experience in maintenance, inspection, or operation of heavy equipment will be an added advantage.
