Job Description – Social Media Marketing & Graphic Designer

Position Overview

We are looking for a creative and result-oriented Social Media Marketing & Graphic Designer who can manage our social media presence, create engaging content, and design professional creatives using Canva and graphic design tools.

The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of social media platforms, content creation, branding, and digital marketing.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Marketing

• Manage company social media accounts including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube.

• Create and maintain a monthly social media content calendar.

• Plan and publish regular posts, reels, stories and other social media content.

• Research trending topics, hashtags and content ideas.

• Write engaging captions and social media copy.

• Monitor comments, messages and audience engagement.

• Track social media performance and prepare basic reports.

• Support lead generation campaigns through social media.

• Stay updated with the latest social media trends and algorithms.

Graphic Design & Canva

• Create professional social media posts, banners, advertisements and promotional creatives.

• Design graphics using Canva and other graphic design software.

• Create designs for:

o Social media posts

o Instagram/Facebook creatives

o LinkedIn posts

o Reels/short-video thumbnails

o Website banners

o Company announcements

o Festival posts

o Recruitment posts

o Product/service promotions

o Presentation graphics

• Maintain consistency in company branding, fonts, colors and visual style.

• Edit images and create basic visual content as required.

Content & Video Support

• Create basic reels and short-form video content.

• Perform basic video editing for social media.

• Create thumbnails and promotional videos.

• Coordinate with the development, HR and business teams to understand requirements and create relevant content.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of Social Media Marketing.

• Strong knowledge of Canva.

• Basic to good knowledge of Graphic Design.

• Knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube.

• Good understanding of hashtags, captions, engagement and content strategy.

• Basic knowledge of Photoshop / Illustrator / CorelDRAW will be an advantage.

• Basic video editing knowledge is an added advantage.

• Good communication and creative thinking skills.

• Ability to create original and engaging content.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree/diploma in Digital Marketing, Graphic Design, Mass Communication, Marketing, Computer Applications or a related field.

• Freshers and candidates with relevant internship experience can apply.

• Candidates with a strong portfolio will be preferred.
