Role:-Key Responsibilities
A Sales Manager wears many hats, but these four are the most critical:
Strategy & Planning: Setting sales targets (quotas), defining the "territory," and identifying which industries or customer types to go after.
Team Development: Recruiting, onboarding, and—most importantly—coaching sales reps. This involves reviewing call recordings, shadowing meetings, and helping them refine their pitch.
Performance Management: Tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) like conversion rates, pipeline velocity, and revenue. If a rep is underperforming, the manager steps in to course-correct.
Internal Liaison: Acting as the bridge between the sales floor and other departments like Marketing (for lead gen) and Product (for customer feedback).
