IMMEDIATE REQUIRED- E-Commerce / Marketplace Team Leader
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced E-Commerce / Marketplace Team Leader to lead and manage marketplace operations for multiple client accounts. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in managing e-commerce marketplaces within a Digital Marketing Agency and should have experience leading a team of 10–15 members.
The candidate will be responsible for overseeing marketplace growth, team performance, client management, operational excellence, and revenue generation across leading e-commerce platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 10–15 Marketplace Executives, Account Managers, and E-Commerce Specialists.
Monitor team performance and ensure achievement of client KPIs and business goals.
Conduct regular training sessions, performance reviews, and skill development programs.
Allocate resources and manage workloads across multiple client accounts.
Develop SOPs, workflows, and quality control processes to improve operational efficiency.
Participate in hiring, onboarding, and team development initiatives.
Marketplace Management
Manage and oversee client accounts across Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Meesho, Ajio, Nykaa, JioMart, Tata Cliq, and other marketplaces.
Ensure accurate product listings, catalog management, pricing, inventory updates, and order processing.
Monitor marketplace account health, compliance, and seller performance metrics.
Coordinate with clients and internal teams to resolve operational issues.
E-Commerce Operations
Manage e-commerce stores on Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, and other platforms.
Ensure smooth execution of product launches, promotions, and marketplace campaigns.
Optimize product content, listings, and storefront performance.
Improve customer experience and conversion rates across platforms.
Sales & Growth Strategy
Develop and implement strategies to increase online sales, revenue, and marketplace visibility.
Identify growth opportunities and recommend expansion plans for client brands.
Plan and execute marketplace promotions, deals, and seasonal campaigns.
Collaborate with Performance Marketing teams to drive traffic and conversions.
Client Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for key client accounts.
Conduct regular review meetings and present performance reports.
Build strong client relationships and ensure long-term account retention.
Understand client objectives and develop customized marketplace growth strategies.
Reporting & Analytics
Monitor sales, revenue, profitability, and marketplace KPIs.
Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reports.
Analyze marketplace trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities.
Provide actionable recommendations to improve account performance.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Collaborate with SEO, Performance Marketing, Creative, Content, Development, and Design teams.
Ensure timely execution of campaigns, product launches, and client deliverables.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to achieve client objectives and growth targets.
Required Skills & Qualifications
5–8 years of experience in E-Commerce and Marketplace Management.
Mandatory experience working in a Digital Marketing Agency.
Minimum 3+ years of experience managing a team of 10–15 members.
Strong expertise in Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Meesho, Ajio, Nykaa, JioMart, and other marketplaces.
Hands-on experience with Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, and similar e-commerce platforms.
Strong knowledge of catalog management, inventory management, account health management, and marketplace operations.
Understanding of marketplace advertising and performance marketing strategies.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and reporting tools.
Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and client management skills.
Ability to manage multiple brands and client accounts simultaneously.
