Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning & Execution
• Execute the Daily Production Plan as per PPC targets.
• Allocate manpower shift-wise based on production requirements.
• Monitor hourly/daily production status and take action on shortfalls.
• Ensure batch-wise traceability and maintain SWIP flow between workstations.
2. Process Control & Monitoring
• Supervise the process stages: coil winding, assembly, dipping, curing, and testing.
• Ensure process parameters are maintained as per control plan.
• Conduct first-piece approval at start of shift/changeover.
• Regularly update SOPs and work instructions in consultation with QA.
3. Manpower Supervision
• Supervise line operators, line technicians, and support staff.
• Conduct on-job training for new or cross-functional operators.
• Maintain skill matrix and operator performance tracking.
• Ensure discipline, attendance, and shift handover protocols are followed.
4. Quality & Rejection Control
• Support Quality team for in-process checks and final inspections.
• Lead rejection analysis using 5 Whys, Pareto, and Fishbone diagrams.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) on production lines.
• Ensure no mix-up of OK/NOK material in proces.
• Exposure to quality tools: 7 QC Tools, 5 WHY, 8D, CAPA,A3 etc
5. Process Improvement & Lean Initiatives
• Conduct time study, line balancing, and process standardization,8 Waste Analysis.
• Implement 5S, Kaizen, Poka Yoke, and other Lean tools on shopfloor.
• Identify bottlenecks and suggest automation or layout improvements.
• Participate in cost reduction and productivity enhancement projects.
6. Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain Hourly Production Reports,Daily Production Reports (DPR), shift logs, and downtime records.
• Generate OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), Yield, and Rejection dashboards.
7. Safety & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, PPE usage.
• Conduct toolbox talks and participate in safety audits.
• Identify and report near-misses, unsafe acts/conditions.
• Maintain fire exits, evacuation routes, and machine guards in working condition.
