Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated Supervisor to handle and monitor all activities related to SPM (Special Purpose Machine) manufacturing and assembly. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth workflow in machining, fitting, fabrication, and assembly operations, maintaining quality standards, and completing projects on time.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate all works related to SPM machine manufacturing and assembly.
Plan, allocate, and monitor daily tasks for machinists, fitters, and assembly technicians.
Review engineering drawings and guide the team for machining, fitting, and assembly.
Oversee operations like turning, milling, drilling, grinding, and fitting for precision parts.
Ensure proper assembly and alignment of multi-drilling, tapping, boring SPMs, pick & place systems, servo and pneumatic-operated machines.
Monitor quality and ensure parts meet tolerances, GD&T, and surface finish requirements.
Coordinate with design, purchase, and quality teams for smooth project execution.
Maintain machines, tools, and fixtures in proper working condition.
Train and guide team members to improve skills and productivity.
Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and ensure timely project completion.
Follow safety, quality, and housekeeping standards inside the tool room and assembly area.
Requirements
Diploma / B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical / Production Engineering.
5–10 years of experience in SPM manufacturing, machining, and assembly.
Strong knowledge of precision machining, tool room practices, and machine assembly.
Hands-on experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and servo-operated machines.
Good leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage manpower and ensure timely delivery of machines.
