To ensure smooth functioning of all machinery, equipment, and utilities by performing preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance. The role focuses on minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and supporting continuous production operations.
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of production machinery and plant equipment.
Attend and resolve breakdown issues promptly to reduce downtime.
Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical problems using diagnostic tools.
Monitor equipment performance and identify areas for improvement.
Maintain records of machine breakdown history, spare parts usage, and maintenance logbooks.
Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and utilities.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for equipment servicing.
Ensure all maintenance activities follow safety standards and statutory compliance.
Conduct routine safety inspections of machines and utilities.
Maintain stock of critical spare parts.
Coordinate with store/purchase department for procurement of spares.
Participate in Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and other improvement initiatives.
Suggest modifications to reduce breakdowns and improve machine efficiency.
Strong knowledge in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics maintenance.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
Hands-on experience with industrial equipment like compressors, CNC/PLC machines, pumps, motors, conveyors, etc.
Problem-solving and analytical skills.
Basic knowledge of safety systems, ISO standards, and statutory requirements.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering.
2–5 years (for engineers) or 5–10 years (for senior engineers) of experience in maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing industry.
Willingness to work in shifts when required.
Ability to handle emergencies and urgent breakdown calls.
