Position: Legal Manager

Ampero Motors Private Limited is a diversified business group engaged in beverages, FMCG, franchise development, infrastructure, renewable energy, EV charging, and strategic business partnerships across India. We are seeking an experienced legal professional to lead the company's legal, contractual, compliance, and litigation functions.
Position Summary
The Head – Legal Affairs will be responsible for managing all legal matters of the company, including contract management, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, litigation, intellectual property, and legal risk management. The role requires close coordination with senior management to safeguard the company's legal and commercial interests.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate & Commercial Legal
* Draft, review, negotiate, and vet all commercial agreements.
* Prepare and review:
* Franchise Agreements
* Joint Venture Agreements
* Licensing Agreements
* Manufacturing Agreements
* Distribution & Dealership Agreements
* Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
* Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs)
* Employment Contracts
* Vendor and Service Agreements
* Shareholders' Agreements
Litigation & Dispute Resolution
* Handle civil, commercial, contractual, labour, consumer, and recovery matters.
* Draft legal notices, replies, recovery notices, and settlement agreements.
* Coordinate with advocates, law firms, arbitrators, and government authorities.
* Manage arbitration, mediation, and court proceedings.
* Monitor legal cases and provide regular updates to management.
Regulatory Compliance
* Ensure compliance with:
* Companies Act, 2013
* Indian Contract Act, 1872
* Labour and Employment Laws
* GST and Tax Regulations
* Intellectual Property Laws
* Consumer Protection Laws
* Competition Law
* Other applicable Central and State laws
Intellectual Property
* Manage trademark, copyright, and licensing matters.
* Coordinate registration and protection of the company's intellectual property.
* Monitor infringement issues and recommend legal action where required.
Risk Management
* Identify legal and contractual risks.
* Advise management on legal implications of business decisions.
* Develop legal compliance frameworks and standard documentation.
Corporate Governance
* Support Board and management in governance matters.
* Ensure proper legal documentation for business transactions.
* Maintain legal records and statutory documents.
Qualifications
* LL.B. (Mandatory)
* LL.M. preferred
* Enrolled with the Bar Council of India
* Additional certifications in Corporate, Commercial, or Arbitration Law are desirable.
Experience
* 3–6 years of post-qualification experience.
* Experience in corporate legal departments or reputed law firms.
* Prior experience in FMCG, beverages, manufacturing, infrastructure, franchise, or retail sectors will be preferred.
Required Skills
