Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Legal Associate to join our legal team in a dynamic and fast-paced real estate firm. The ideal candidate will assist in providing comprehensive legal support across all real estate transactions, regulatory compliance, contracts, and litigation matters. This role requires strong knowledge of property laws, drafting skills, and the ability to manage multiple legal tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and negotiate real estate agreements including sale deeds, lease agreements, joint development agreements (JDAs), memorandums of understanding (MOUs), and power of attorney (POA).
Conduct title due diligence and assist in the preparation of title reports.
Handle legal documentation for land acquisitions, project development, and property transfers.
Liaise with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and external legal counsel as needed.
Ensure compliance with RERA and other applicable real estate laws and regulations.
Assist in managing litigation and arbitration related to property disputes or contractual issues.
Maintain legal records, case files, and documentation for all real estate transactions.
Provide legal support to internal departments including sales, finance, and operations.
Requirements:
Education: LL.B. or equivalent law degree from a recognized university; enrolment with the Bar Council.
Experience: 2–5 years of relevant legal experience in the real estate sector, law firm, or corporate legal department.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of real estate laws, land acquisition procedures, RERA, registration laws, and civil litigation.
Skills:
Excellent legal drafting and communication skills
Analytical and problem-solving mind-set
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in MS Office and legal research tools
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with large-scale residential/commercial real estate projects.
· Familiarity with zoning laws, municipal regulations, and environmental compliance.
· Knowledge of litigation procedure and coordination with external lawyers.
