Job Description – Junior Advocate

Position Title: Junior Advocate

Department: Law Firm

Job Role & Responsibilities (English):

1. Legal Research & Drafting – Conduct detailed research on case laws, statutes, and legal precedents. Draft petitions, applications, agreements, contracts, notices, and replies.

2. Case Preparation – Assist senior advocates in preparing briefs, arguments, and documentation for court proceedings.

3. Court Assistance – Appear in court for filing, mentioning, and assisting during hearings under the guidance of seniors.

4. Client Interaction – Assist in client meetings, take case details, prepare notes, and update clients on case progress.

5. Documentation & Compliance – Prepare, verify, and file legal documents in courts, tribunals, and government offices.

6. Coordination & Follow-up – Coordinate with clients, court clerks, and government officials for case updates and compliance.

7. Administrative Support – Maintain case files, update legal records, and manage diary of court dates.

8. Learning & Development – Stay updated with latest legal amendments, judgments, and professional ethics.

Key Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of law and legal procedures.

• Good research and drafting skills.

• Confidence in public speaking and court appearances.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Team spirit and eagerness to learn from seniors.

• LL.M

• 3–7 years of proven experience
