Senior Advocate – Criminal Law Practice (Delhi High Court & District Courts)
ABOUT THE FIRM:
Antil Law Associates is a Delhi-based litigation firm founded and headed by Adv. Kuldeep Antil, practicing before the Delhi High Court, Supreme Court of India, and all District Courts of Delhi.
The firm deals extensively in criminal, civil, and constitutional matters, including bails, criminal trials, writ petitions, SC/ST Act cases, NDPS Act prosecutions, POCSO, white-collar crimes, and economic offences.
We are expanding our Criminal Law Division and invite applications from seasoned criminal law practitioners with proven, independent court practice and strong drafting and argument skills.
POSITION DETAILS:
Designation: Advocate – Criminal Litigation
Location: Netaji Subhash Place, Pitampura, Delhi
Type: Full-Time (Litigation-based, On-site)
Experience Required: Minimum 10 years of independent criminal law practice before Delhi High Court and District Courts
Joining: Immediate
CORE AREAS OF PRACTICE:
The selected candidate will be responsible for handling and supervising matters including but not limited to:
1. Bail Proceedings:
Regular, Anticipatory, and Interim Bails under Sections 437, 438, 439 Cr.P.C.
Drafting and arguing bail applications and cancellation of bail.
2. Criminal Trials:
Trial of offences under IPC, Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and Special Enactments like NDPS Act, SC/ST Act, POCSO, Prevention of Corruption Act, etc.
Cross-examination, framing of charge, and final arguments.
3. Writ Jurisdiction:
Writ Petitions under Articles 226 & 227 of the Constitution before the Delhi High Court.
Handling Quashing Petitions under Section 482 Cr.P.C. and related criminal supervisory matters.
4. Appellate & Revision Jurisdiction:
Criminal Appeals, Revisions, and Petitions before Sessions and High Court.
5. Special Criminal Proceedings:
FIR registration, investigation monitoring, charge-sheet defense, and closure report challenges.
Drafting of criminal complaints under Sections 190/200 Cr.P.C.
NI Act complaints (Sec. 138), DV Act, and Cybercrime matters.
6. Advisory & Strategy:
Providing written legal opinions, legal strategy planning, and client advisory.
Vetting of pleadings, legal research, and case management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Independently conduct and argue criminal cases before Delhi High Court, Sessions Courts, and Metropolitan Magistrates.
Draft, review, and finalize bail applications, writs, petitions, revisions, and complaints.
Represent clients in investigation, trial, and appellate stages of criminal proceedings.
Draft case notes, briefing memos, and legal research briefs for court preparation.
Supervise and mentor junior associates and interns within the Criminal Law Division.
Manage and monitor all criminal litigation deadlines and case status tracking on e-courts and High Court portals.
Maintain client coordination, case file records, and confidential documentation.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Educational Qualification: LL.B. from a recognized university (enrollment with Delhi Bar Council mandatory).
Experience: Minimum 10 years of active criminal practice in Delhi High Court and District Courts.
Technical Competence:
Strong command of Cr.P.C., Indian Evidence Act, IPC/BNS, and Special Criminal Statutes.
Excellent drafting of petitions, bail applications, writs, and legal opinions.
Skilled in oral advocacy, cross-examination, and High Court procedures.
Professional Attributes:
Integrity, discipline, and ability to handle high-stake criminal cases independently.
Client-handling and strategic thinking capability.
Familiarity with Delhi Police investigation procedures and filing through High Court E-filing system.
Technological Skills:
Working knowledge of Case Information System (CIS/eCourts), Delhi High Court portal, and legal databases like SCC Online / Manupatra / LiveLaw.
