Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable, dedicated detail-oriented Mushroom Farm Worker to join our Oyster mushroom cultivation team. You will handle daily hands-on tasks including substrate preparation, bag filling, harvesting, and packaging. Because Oyster mushrooms thrive in specific humid conditions and require clean environments, a strong focus on hygiene and care is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation & Spawning : Assist in preparing substrate (chopping/soaking straw or sawdust), filling cultivation bags, and mixing in spawn under clean conditions.
Crop Monitoring : Monitor growing rooms to ensure proper humidity (80–90%) and high fresh-air ventilation required for healthy Oyster mushroom caps.
Harvesting : Carefully hand-pick mature Oyster mushroom clusters at the right stage before the cap edges flip upward.
Packing & Sorting : Trim, grade, weigh, and pack delicate clusters into retail trays or crates with minimal handling to prevent bruising.
Sanitation : Deep-clean and sanitize incubation and fruiting rooms between crop cycles to prevent contamination.
